Today I am posting for my final day of the Art Jewelry Challenge. I've been quite conflicted as to what to post for the final day. I finally decided that I would post a necklace that I originally made to sell, but fell so deeply in love with it that I could not part from my Black Raven Necklace. As previously mentioned, a couple days ago, I love dark creatures! The crow, or raven, is one of them! I made this necklace using a conglomeration of objects. The base of the center is spray painted stamped brass feather with multiple dangles including: Resin cast Crow cameos, Hummingbird skull charms, Feather charms, Shark teeth and various chain bits. After I claimed ownership, I removed the matte onyx strand and elongated the chain. I clearly LOVE this necklace as I've worn it 100+ times! smile emoticon
Today I nominate Khristan Lamb of GypsyLamb Jewelry . Looking forward to seeing your designs!

Today I am posting not one, but multiple pieces of one entity I am best known for: Dead Frida. Frida has been a constant source of beauty, strength, inspiration and admiration for me! The Tres Fridas Necklace was my first introduction into making any of my Dead Fridas. I remember after I had made the necklace a friend told me, "It's the best piece I've ever seen you make!". My calaveras have always conveyed happiness and life versus darkness and the macabre (Which don't get me wrong, I love dark creatures also, but I always want people to be happy to wear my art!). I've most widely used carved bone skulls in my necklaces, bracelets & earrings. But I have also incorporated Czech glass, Magnesite, and rhinestone-studded skulls in my designs. All are usually accompanied by flower blossoms made from carved coral, Czech glass, Vintage German glass or lucite. I also love to use a ton of color and African Trade Beads with my designs!

Today I am posting my Time for Tea Necklace beautifully modeled by Veronica! I have always loved Lewis Carroll's tales of Alice...especially when drawn by the iconic John Tenniel! I was thrilled to create an entire Almost Alice Collection. It appeals to my whimsical style! This necklace is centered around the Tea Party Alice has with the Mad Hatter and March Hare. Below the scene dangles a fun conglomeration of "Drink Me" bottles filled with an assortment of goodies, glitter, ribbon, mushrooms and hearts. heart emoticon The necklace is strung with Lampwork Glass, Czech Glass, Swarovski Rondelle adorned Tea Pots and Pearls. Too much fun! smile emoticon
