Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

I've always admired the breath-taking works of Gustav Klimt. His use of colors, the celebration of women, all the intricate details have always represented love and passion!

This piece has always captured my eye:  Pinned Image
The beauty of life!

Last year, while on vacation with my sister and niece, I came across the pendant on my new piece:

Photo: Happy Mother's Day Weekend from Rain's Embellishments! <3

I couldn't not purchase it! It's taken me a whole year to create something with this extravagant stamped porcelain pendant. I decided that this Mother's Day would be a fantastic time to display it! It represents warmth and love from mother and child. Plus, it's always reminded me of this photo of my mother and I:

Happy Mother's Day to all my Mothers (My mom, surrogate moms & my Godmother), Grandmothers, Aunts, Sister and all the other special women in my life who are mothers!

If you would like to purchase this necklace, I have it at the Jimmie Joy Jewels studio inside Gallery 21Ten/The Sacramento Art Complex (2110 K Street, Midtown, Sacramento) this month (along with the rest of my Trousseau Collection)!

Second Saturday ~ TODAY!

Please stop by Gallery 21Ten/The Sacramento Art Complex today for a fantastic art show!
Peruse the main, loft, micro galleries as well as all the artist studios! I'll be at the Jimmie Joy Jewels studio Upstairs! My NEW Trousseau Collection is on display. It's a celebration of Springtime, Mothers, and Wedding bliss including flowers, butterflies, and my special Calaveras! Looking forward to seeing you there!

Carol Dalton

As a native to Southern California, Carol Dalton’s childhood was spent exploring the sea and the coastal foothills. Solitary time spent exercising, and observing nature became a lifelong practice for Dalton, and later helped her to focus during her years studying at the Santa Barbara Art Institute, and later in her studio. Dalton’s exposure to the natural world, the tactile quality of materials, and the process of painting, opened a pathway to her imagination. Read more

Laura is at the Loft Gallery this month
Laura Caron
Laura Caron grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and was exposed to a variety of cultures. Her fascination and appreciation of cultural diversity is manifested in her art. Laura is primarily a self-taught artist. From the beginning she explored new techniques of expressing herself and through this experimental approach she gradually produced a style that is uniquely hers. She is able to achieve subtle variations in texture through the use of hand stitching and layered fabrics to produce a three-dimensional quality.Read more
